Jeffrey Travillion

Jeffrey Travillion is an experienced public service professional with a strong background in policy development, compliance, and operational management. As the Travis County Commissioner for Precinct 1 since January 2017, Jeffrey focuses on justice system policy priorities. Prior to this role, positions at the City of Austin included Division Manager in the Austin Code Department, and Workforce Development and Organizational Effectiveness Officer, where responsibilities encompassed designing training programs and compliance protocols. Additional experience includes roles at Austin Energy, where strategic planning and performance improvement were key, and extensive involvement in minority business outreach and support initiatives within the City of Austin. Jeffrey holds a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Jackson State University, and has continued education at Harvard Kennedy School and Carnegie Mellon University.
