Nirav Shah

Nirav Shah currently serves as the Chief of Staff to Commissioner Howard at Travis County, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Nirav worked at the City of Austin as the Policy and Engagement Team Lead in the Homeless Strategy Division from October 2021 to November 2022. Nirav's extensive experience also includes serving as Vice President and Director of Social Investments at Social Finance, Inc. from 2012 to September 2021, and as a Program Examiner at the Office of Management and Budget from October 2009 to February 2012. Earlier in Nirav's career, positions included Research Analyst at the City of Austin and Senior Hedge Fund Analyst at Cambridge Associates. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs (2007-2009) and a degree from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University (1999-2003).
