Dewayne Blackmon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Dewayne is currently the Regional Director of Operations at the Travis Manion Foundation, where they lead operations nationwide and supervises program staff. Prior to that, they worked at the Wounded Warrior Project as an Operations Manager, where they provided leadership oversight and implemented strategic operations. Dewayne also has extensive experience in the US Army, serving as an Operations Sergeant Major, a Congressional Fellow, and a Command Sergeant Major. Dewayne holds a Master's degree in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University and has also worked as a Graduate Student in the same field. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Military Instructor at the Florida Institute of Technology and held various roles in the US Army, including First Sergeant and Scout Platoon Sergeant.

Dewayne Blackmon has a diverse education history. In 1987 to 1989, they attended Ft. Walton Beach High School and obtained their diploma. After that, in 2011 to 2012, they attended Excelsior University and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Concurrently, they also attended American InterContinental University and earned an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration. In addition, in 2011 to 2012, they attended the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, where they pursued Military Science, Leadership, and Operational Art. Continuing their education, in 2012 to 2013, they attended American InterContinental University once again, this time earning a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Services. Finally, from 2015 to 2016, they attended The George Washington University and obtained a Master's degree in Legislative Affairs.

In terms of additional certifications, Dewayne Blackmon has obtained various certifications. Some of the certifications include Positive Psychology: Applications and Interventions, Positive Psychology: Resilience Skills, and Positive Psychology: Martin E. P. Seligman’s Visionary Science, all obtained from Coursera in 2021 and 2022. Dewayne has also received certifications in Body Language for Leaders, Excel Quick Tips, Project Management Foundations: Change, Project Management Foundations: Communication, Scrum: The Basics, Six Sigma Foundations, and Word Quick Tips, all obtained from LinkedIn in 2017. Furthermore, they attained the Little League Baseball Coach Certification from Virginia Baseball Club in 2015. Lastly, they received the Athletic Coach certification from the State of Florida Department of Education in 2020.
