Rusty Abston

Rusty Abston is an experienced Chief Information Security Officer and technology leader with a proven track record in optimizing IT operations and driving security initiatives. Currently serving as CIO at Trawick International since 2010, Rusty has directed teams in enhancing process consistency and technical excellence. Previous roles include leadership positions at Boston Mutual Life Insurance, where Rusty executed significant security migrations and expanded engineering teams, and at Trility Consulting, where architectural improvements were made across customer infrastructures. Rusty’s background also features extensive experience in system engineering at Evonik, independent consultancy work, and a tenure as Infrastructure Manager at MicroPact. Rusty holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of South Alabama.
