Kirsty Paterson

Kirsty Paterson is an experienced Engineering Geologist currently employed at AECOM since November 2020, where responsibilities include supervising geotechnical investigations and producing reports on geological issues, particularly in relation to The Cliff Landslide in Salford. Prior experience includes a summer placement at Atkins, where Kirsty created ground models and conducted site visits related to engineering projects. Earlier roles also encompass a variety of positions such as waitress at Hudsons Catering, a week of experience in Petroleum Geology at TAQA, data entry work at Grampian Accounting, and shadowing chemical engineers at AMEC. Kirsty holds a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Leeds, a Bachelor of Science in Geology from The University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from the University of Glasgow. Educational background includes high-level qualifications in Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Maths, and English from Alford Academy.
