Katie Payne

Katie Payne is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and intellectual property. Currently holding the position of Senior Counsel for the Americas at Treasury Wine Estates since August 2021, Katie previously served as Associate General Counsel at VSP Global from June 2016 to August 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing legal matters for a company focused on eye care insurance and retail solutions. Prior to that, Katie worked as an Intellectual Property Litigator at Jones Day from October 2009 to May 2016, specializing in patent and copyright infringement litigation. Educational achievements include a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.S., cum laude, in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from CSU, Chico. Additional early career experiences include internships at the California Department of Justice and volunteering with Butte County Superior Court.
