Matthew Longhurst

COO & Co-Founder at TreasurySpring

Matthew Longhurst is the current COO & Co-Founder at TreasurySpring. Prior to this, they were a partner at AgFe Group Ltd from November 2013 to February 2016 where they were responsible for product development and heading operations in the short-dated investments group. In this role, Longhurst developed strategies and products to assist large corporations, hedge funds, real money investors and wealth managers with the investment of excess cash and the deployment of funds into short-dated fixed income strategies including sovereigns, money market funds, reverse repo and trade assets.

From December 2009 to October 2013, Longhurst was the co-founder and COO of Autumn Capital Partners LLP, an investment consultancy firm specializing in cash equivalent and short-dated fixed income investments. Over the lifetime of the company, Autumn advised on more than $10bn of liquid assets. In November 2013, Autumn Capital's business was acquired by AgFe.

Longhurst has also been an investment professional at PCM from May 2007 to December 2009 and obtained their PhD in Computational Chemistry from Imperial College London from September 2003 to April 2007. Prior to this, they were also a developer at Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo from October 2002 to September 2003.

Matthew Longhurst has a PhD in Computational Chemistry from Imperial College London, a Master's in Nanotechnology from Imperial College London, and a MPhys in Physics from The University of Manchester.

They work with Miriam Smetten - Head of Community, Oscar Coyle - Sales Director, and Csongor Mathe - Product Analyst. Their manager is Kevin Cook, CEO & Co-Founder.
