Maike Nowatzki

Maike Nowatzki is a Research and Development Engineer at Treefera since April 2024, previously serving as a PhD Student at the University of Oxford from October 2020 to March 2024, focusing on dunefield morphology through AI and satellite remote sensing. During this time, Maike also taught undergraduate statistics, laboratory, and field work methods, as well as graduate GIS courses. Additionally, Maike held the position of Stipendiary Lecturer at Brasenose College and the University of Oxford, specializing in ecology. Prior experience includes a Student Research Assistant role at the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie and a research internship at Harvard University, where work involved chemical sample preparation and modeling geophysical properties. Maike holds a PhD in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Physical Geography from the University of Tübingen.
