Laurent Cognet

Laurent Cognet serves as the CNRS Research Director at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique since January 2009. In addition, Laurent is a member of the Board of Directors at Institut d'Optique Graduate School and Director at Laboratoire Photonique Numérique et nanosciences (LP2N), both positions held since January 2022. As a co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics since November 2018, Laurent has contributed significantly to the field. Previous roles include CNRS Junior Researcher at Univ. Bordeaux from 2000 to 2008, Fulbright Fellow at Rice University from 2006 to 2007, Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Leiden University from 1999 to 2000, and Research Associate during military service at Observatoire de Paris from 1995 to 1996. Laurent earned a Ph.D. in Sciences physiques from Université Paris-Saclay (1996-1999), a Master's degree in Optique/Physique from the same institution (1994-1995), and a Diplôme d'ingénieur in laser and optical engineering from Institut d'Optique Graduate School (1992-1995).
