Product Lead, Sustainable Innovations at Treeni Sustainability Solutions

Akshay Kurian has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Akshay started their career as an intern at Adikash Electrical & Consultancy Services, where they were responsible for preparing audit reports and analyzing energy bills. After that, they worked as a Head Consultant at Light and Lighting, where they handled product procurement, lighting consultancy, inventory management, and electrical drawings.

Kurian also volunteered as a Design Engineer at Engineers without Borders Sweden, leading the construction of dry composting Ecosan toilets and designing the construction layout. Akshay then joined ISC-CX as a Quality Specialist, and later transitioned to Treeni Inc. In Treeni Inc, they initially worked as an Implementation Engineer, presenting research findings to clients and conducting corporate involvement research. Currently, they hold the role of Product Lead, Sustainable Innovations, focusing on sustainable product development.

Overall, Akshay Kurian has gained valuable experience in various roles, including business analysis, engineering, quality management, and product development.

Akshay Kurian completed their Master's degree in Sustainable Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2020. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation - University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they also earned another Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology from 2012 to 2015. Akshay's primary education took place at Montfort Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School from 2002 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications such as Sustainable Interior Design Week from UGREEN in March 2021, Quality Certification from INTERNATIONAL SERVICE CHECK in April 2019, Mechanical CAD from EduCADD Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in August 2018, and Indian Society of Lighting Engineers in March 2015.
