Bliss joined TreePeople in September of 2020 as the nonprofit’s first in-house graphic designer. She is passionate about creative visual storytelling and amplifying causes related to community-driven social and environmental justice. Bliss’s design background includes freelancing with mission-driven clients–nonprofits, educational institutions, and small businesses–including as a part-time designer with Place & Page, a community-based graphic design studio in downtown LA. Prior to her design work, Bliss’ professional experience included four years of marketing communications and copywriting in the education technology space, and campaign coordinating for a national cross-partisan grassroots nonprofit. A native of the north shore of Massachusetts, Bliss earned her B.A. in Environmental Policy from Mount Holyoke College, and her M.F.A. in Graphic Design from Boston University’s School of Visual Arts.
