Onyeka Akumah

Onyeka Akumah has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Onyeka is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Treepz, a position they have held since September 2019.

From February 2020 to June 2022, Onyeka served as a Visiting Lecturer at Rome Business School Nigeria. Prior to this, they had a significant role at Farmcrowdy. Onyeka was the Chairman of the Board from September 2016 to March 2022 and also served as the Founder and CEO from June 2016 to May 2021.

Onyeka was the Co-Founder and CEO of Crowdyvest, which was later sold to Fort Haus. Onyeka held this position from January 2020 to February 2021.

Onyeka also worked at Travelbeta.com as the Chief Commercial Officer from January 2015 to October 2016. Before that, they co-founded and served as CEO of QwikGist.com, a news aggregator platform that was sold to BusinessDay Media House within a few months of its launch in 2014.

Onyeka's experience also includes being the Vice-President of Marketing at Konga Online Shopping Ltd from March 2013 to February 2014.

Onyeka started their career at Anozim Limited as a Lead Consultant from February 2011 to March 2013.

Onyeka also had roles at Guaranty Trust Bank plc (GTBank) and Jumia Nigeria. At GTBank, they held the position of Lead, Online & Mobile Marketing (Digital Marketing Group) from October 2012 to February 2013. At Jumia Nigeria, they were the Director of Marketing & Partnerships from May 2012 to December 2012, where they played a crucial role in the launch and expansion of the e-commerce platform.

Onyeka Akumah obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok, from 2003 to 2006. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued a degree in Project Management and became an Associate at the Association of Project Managers, UK. In the same year, they also completed an Associate degree in Website Management from Certified Internet Webmasters.
