Carrie Hume is an experienced leader in environmental and public policy, currently serving as the Development and Partnerships Director at Trees for Cities since September 2023, where responsibilities include securing urban forestry partnerships and promoting community engagement with urban trees. Previously, Carrie held the position of Head of Health Equals at The Health Foundation, focusing on the development of health initiatives and leading impactful campaigns. Extensive experience also includes roles such as Head of Campaign Delivery and Political Campaigner at Friends of the Earth, Head of Public Affairs and Campaigning at Brain Tumour Research, and Director of Conservation & Campaigns at the Marine Conservation Society, where Carrie influenced key conservation policies and directed numerous successful campaigns. Educational qualifications include a Masters by Research in Ecology and Environmental Biology from the University of York.
