Ariel Shaqed (Scolnicov)

Ariel Shaqed (Scolnicov) has worked for a number of companies since 1987. Ariel began their career as a Programmer at Cybertek, where they developed a business graphics language for integration in RDBMS query and reporting system. In 1997, they moved to Compugen Ltd. as an Algorithms Developer, where they designed and implemented algorithms for LEADS and other teams, and introduced an extensible hierarchical data format. Ariel was later promoted to Team Leader in 2001. In 2002, they joined Check Point Software Technologies as a Technology Leader and Software Developer. In 2006, they moved to Correlix as a Senior Algorithms Developer and System Architect, where they developed advanced network monitoring solutions. In 2011, they joined Google as a Software Engineer in Technical Infrastructure/Networking. In 2017, they moved to Binaris as an AlgoArchiDevOps. Finally, in 2020, they joined Treeverse as a Dev, where they have been working on #lakeFS: open-source git-Lake semantics for their data lake. Ariel is currently a Principal Engineer at Treeverse - the lakeFS creators.

Ariel Shaqed (Scolnicov) attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1992 to 2000, where they earned a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1995 and an M.Sc. in Mathematics in 2000.
