Alex Oliveira

Alex Oliveira has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In recent years, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at Tremendous and as an Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer at Code Climate. At Code Climate, they proposed and led the establishment of a new Platform Team and worked on improving processes, data pipelines, and technical solutions. Prior to that, they co-founded the non-profit organization Plural - Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia, where they provided technical solutions and compliance guidance.

Earlier in their career, Alex worked as a Senior Software Engineer at TransportAPI, where they developed and maintained real-time prediction systems used by millions of passengers in the UK. Alex also co-founded APISync and worked as a Senior Engineer at Zipmark Inc., where they designed and developed architectures for distributed systems.

Before that, Alex served as a Systems Architect and Senior Engineer at ride.com, where they were responsible for feature design and close collaboration with various teams within the company. Alex also worked as a Senior Developer at Stack Builders, guiding client teams in Agile practices and working on various projects.

Alex's work experience extends back to their role as a Lead Developer at AC Informática, where they worked with PHP, Ruby on Rails, and Javascript and was responsible for client communication and technical solution development. Alex started their career as a Freelancer/Webdesigner, working on web design projects using PHP and Javascript.

Alex Oliveira completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidade Católica de Pelotas in the years 2005 to 2008. Alex then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Project Management from SENAC/RS during the period of 2009 to 2010.
