Imani Maia

Imani Maia has a diverse work experience with various roles in product design and user experience. Their most recent position was as a Senior Product Designer at Tremendous, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Pento as a Senior Product Designer from 2022 to 2023, where they led a high-visibility research project and advocated for a user-centric approach. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Product Designer at DoorDash, where they spearheaded a foundational redesign and led a cross-functional design sprint. At Pathrise, from 2019 to 2020, they were a Product Designer and played a key role in the redesign of the job tracker and the delivery of a new information architecture. Imani also has experience as an instructor lead at General Assembly, a UX Designer at Darby Smart, and as an independent contractor in experience design. In addition, they have held roles in marketing, event coordination, and program development earlier in their career.

Imani Maia completed their education between 2006 and 2010 at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree with Distinction in Communications. In addition to their degree, they also acquired two certifications. In September 2015, they completed the "Human-Centered Design: an Introduction" course and received a certificate from Coursera Verified Certificates. Imani further enhanced their skills by obtaining the "How to Organize Your Time and Your Life" certification from LinkedIn in May 2023.
