Max Marchuk has a diverse work experience in software engineering roles. Max started their career as a Data Integration Engineer Intern at Daimler Trucks North America in 2013, where they developed a Windows application to streamline data entry processes. Max then worked as a System Administration & Tech Support Volunteer at The Computer Action Team @ PSU, where they gained expertise in Linux sysadmin and computer networking fundamentals.
In 2014, Max worked as a Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern at CDK Global, contributing to the development of a dealership marketing campaign web app. Max emphasized test-driven development and expanded the back-end API.
In 2015, Max interned as a Software Engineer at Urban Airship and as a DevOps Intern at Jive Software. At Urban Airship, they gained practical experience in software engineering, while at Jive Software, they improved the Jive Cloud Admin tool by adding features and fixing bugs.
Max then joined Jama Software in 2016 as a Software Engineer. Initially, they started as an intern and later became a full-time employee. During this period, they focused on front-end development and also worked on back-end features using Kotlin. Max acquired hands-on experience in front-end development, self-driven development, and shipping high-quality code. Max also gave presentations and talks on technical subjects.
From 2020 to 2022, Max worked as a Front-end Software Engineer (L4) at Streem, where they demonstrated expertise in various front-end development areas, including authentication, routing, styling, and SDK integration. Max contributed to enhancing and maintaining a sophisticated video call application and developed web SDK code for seamless integration with diverse applications.
Currently, Max is working as a Front-end Software Engineer at Trend Capital Holdings, Inc. Here, they are responsible for working on Bloom, a CRM designed for small business owners, creatives, and artists. Max is facing technical challenges such as integrating securely and reliably with Payment Gateways.
Throughout their career, Max has acquired a range of technical skills, including front-end development, back-end development, system administration, networking, and database management. Max has consistently demonstrated their ability to solve complex problems, optimize code, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Additionally, Max has a solid understanding of different programming languages and frameworks, such as Typescript, ReactJS, and RxJS.
