Alex Perez-Tenessa

Alex Perez-Tenessa has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Alex is currently the Founder and CEO of Trendio, where they aim to reinvent ecommerce by creating a more engaging, trustworthy, and helpful shopping experience. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at EMPLOYERS.

Before their current roles, Alex held positions at Amazon, where they had significant responsibilities. As the VP Prime Video US, they led the US Prime Video businesses, including subscription services, content acquisition, and marketing. Alex also served as the VP Digital and Physical Books, overseeing the revenue generation and marketing strategies for Amazon's global book business.

Before joining Amazon, Alex worked at CVS Health as the VP of Beauty and Personal Care. Alex led the transformation of the beauty and personal care business, focusing on assortment, in-store experience, and promotions.

Alex's career began at McKinsey & Company, where they worked as a Partner. In this role, they supported senior executives in the retail industry on various change programs related to merchandising, store operations, marketing, and strategy. Alex also served as a Second Lieutenant in the Spanish Army, where they trained a section of soldiers and led them on national maneuvers.

Additionally, Alex gained experience as an Analyst at BNP Paribas, where they participated in advisory projects, including the privatization of Banco República in Venezuela.

Alex Perez-Tenessa obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management from Harvard Business School between 2000 and 2002. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, Alex pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration, with a focus on Finance and Business, at ESSEC Business School. In 1992 and 1993, Alex attended Lycee Louis-le-Grand in Paris, France, however, the specific degree and field of study during this time are unspecified.
