Susan Ishida

Susan Ishida has a diverse work experience in the animation industry, spanning over 20 years. Susan started their career at PBS as a CG Artist and received an Emmy Award for their contribution to the educational series Biology: Cycles of Life. Susan then worked as a Game 2D/3D Conceptual Artist at Triac Software before joining Pixel Magic OCS as a Character Modeling Supervisor, where they worked on the character models for Casper: a Spirited Beginning. Susan also worked as a Costume Modeler at The Lightwave Lab and as a Character Modeler at DNA Productions. Susan then joined Fox Family Productions/Saban Entertainment as a Visual FX Supervisor. Susan later worked at Omation as an Animation Producer, overseeing the design and construction of the animation facility and supervising modeling and animation for Santa vs the Snowman: 3D IMAX. Susan continued to work at Omation Studios as the Character Modeling Supervisor and later became the Co-Head of the Character Modeling Department for the feature film Barnyard: the Original Party Animals. Susan then became the Owner of Wonderlens Studios/Lightwave Lab, specializing in development, design, and animation production. Currently, they hold the position of VP Creative Director at Trendspot Inc.

Susan Ishida's education history includes attending the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2020, where they studied Product Management Studio. Susan also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Functional Design from California State University, Long Beach. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art, Illustration from the same institution. Susan also pursued studies in Fashion Illustration at Otis/Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles and Parsons School of Design.
