Angela Hurst

Angela Hurst has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role is as the Director of Community Programs at Trenholm State Community College, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, Angela served as the Director of Public Relations at the same institution from April 2017 to January 2022. Angela also worked at the Trenholm State Foundation as a Development Director from November 2015 to January 2022. Angela gained experience in fundraising and foundation relations as a Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer at Edmundite Missions from May 2013 to July 2015. Angela contributed as a Committee Member for the Gov. Black Belt Commission in 2014. Angela's earlier experience includes serving as the General Manager at GSI, managing a historic hotel, banquet facilities, restaurants, and meeting spaces from January 2012 to March 2013. Angela worked as an Agribusiness Development Specialist at the Alabama Department of Agriculture from April 2003 to 2010. Angela's career began at the Governor's Office, where they served in the role of National and Community Service from 1999 to 2003.

Angela Hurst obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Alabama State University during the period from 1989 to 1995. Angela then pursued a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University in Montgomery from 2001 to 2003.
