Krista Scaldwell

Ms. Krista Scaldwell is currently the Vice President of Corporate Communications at Canada Life. She has held previous vice-president roles in the area of public affairs and communications for Coca-Cola Canada, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group of Companies in Canada and at Bristol Myers Squibb Canada. Prior to industry, she was a senior political staff member in the Ontario Government. Ms. Scaldwell has a BA in Economics and Sociology from Trent University and an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She has previously served as chair of the Markham-Stouffville Hospital Board of Directors Governance Committee, was a member of the Selection Advisory Board of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada as a Ministry appointee, chair of the Trent University Community of Women, past chair of the Board and member of the international board of directors of Action Against Hunger. Ms. Scaldwell has been appointed to the Trent University Page 15 Board of Governors for a three-year term effective July 1, 2020.
