Kurt Stover has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. From 2009-2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at Dalhousie University. From 2012-2013, they were a Teaching Assistant for Laboratory Methods of Learning and Conditioning and Neuroscience Principles and Methods at Dalhousie University. In 2013, they were an Instructor and Teaching Assistant for Statistical Methods II at Dalhousie University. From 2014-2015, they were a Teaching Assistant for Measuring Behaviour and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at University Health Network. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Research Scientist at Treventis Corporation, where they develop and performs pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic experiments in rodents and in-vitro ADME-tox experiments to evaluate brain penetrant small molecules, operates LC/MSMS to quantify small molecules in biological tissues, and manages rodent colonies and animal ethics protocols.

Kurt Stover obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University in 2010, followed by a Master's Degree in Neuroscience from the same university in 2012. Kurt then completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University in 2015. Additionally, they obtained certifications from the Capital District Health Authority in 2009 for WHMIS and from Dalhousie University for Introduction to the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, The Mouse: Recommended Technical Procedures, and The Rat: Recommended Technical Procedures.
