Cody Lafountain has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Starting in 2007, they began working as an Engineering Co-op at ABX Air, Inc., where they developed maintenance documents and improved the intranet web site for the engineering department. In 2008, they joined the University of Cincinnati as a Co-op, focusing on MATLAB application development for intelligent systems and presenting research papers at conferences. Cody continued their work at the University of Cincinnati as a Graduate Student, where they primarily worked on developing intelligent systems for aerospace applications, including morphing wing design and Fuzzy-logic pathfinding. Cody also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Integrated Aircraft Engineering class. In 2011, Cody became an NSF GK-12 Fellow at Oak Hills High School. Then, in 2012, they joined CDI Aerospace as an Engineer II, working until 2018. During this time, they worked on various projects and gained experience in the aerospace industry. In 2018, they transitioned to Avure HPP, where they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for four years. Currently, they work at TREW as a Mechanical Engineer III, starting in 2022. Overall, Cody has a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on aerospace applications and intelligent systems.
Cody Lafountain has a strong educational background in aerospace engineering. Cody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, Cody further pursued their passion for aerospace engineering by obtaining a Master of Science degree in the same field from the University of Cincinnati. Cody completed their master's degree between 2010 and 2015.
