Austin McKay

Austin McKay has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of Computational Biology & Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. In 2020, they began their current role as Senior Scientist - Computational Biology & Machine Learning at TRexBio. Prior to this, they were a Technical Advisor and Fellow, Artificial Intelligence at Insight Data Science (2019), a Machine Learning Scientist at System1 Biosciences (2019), a Data Scientist at Nucleate (2018), a Founder of optif.ai (2018), a Systems Engineering Intern at Terumo BCT (2017), and a Chemical Engineering Tutor and Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Colorado (2015). Austin is also currently an Advisory Council Member - Machine Learning and Big Data at California State University - East Bay (2022).

Austin McKay attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering. Austin also completed High School Concurrent Enrollment at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus. In May 2019, they became a Triplebyte certified Generalist Software Engineer.
