John Khuynh

John Khuynh has a diverse work experience. John began their career in 2013 as an Admin Assistant and Teen Staff at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. In 2015, they joined Exploratorium as an Event Explainer, Special Event Technician, Observatory Intern, and Explainer, providing customer service and science demonstrations in biology, anatomy, psychology, and physics. In 2019, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of San Francisco, expressing Membrane Scaffolding Protein (MSP1) in E. coli, purifying MSP1 using FPLC, and synthesizing media for E. coli. John is currently a Laboratory Operations Manager at TRexBio.

John Khuynh obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of San Francisco in 2021. John previously graduated from Galileo Academy of Science & Technology in 2017 with a High School GED. In September 2021, they also obtained an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross.
