Matthew Allen

Matthew Allen has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an English Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET) from 2008 to 2010. Matthew then interned for the US House of Representatives from 2010 to 2012, and for SelectUSA, International Trade Administration, Department of Commerce from 2012 to 2013. Matthew was a Patent Secretary for Westerman Hattori Daniels & Adrian LLP from 2013 to 2015, and a Senior Patent Assistant for Genentech from 2015 to 2018. Matthew then served as Senior Manager, Legal Operations and Privacy for Alector from 2018 to 2022. Currently, they are the Director, Corporate Development and Operations for TRexBio.

Matthew Allen attended the International School of Brussels from 2000 to 2004 and obtained their High School degree. Matthew then went on to Northwestern University from 2004 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Political Science, with a minor in Japanese Language and Culture. In 2006, they studied at Kyoto University for a period of time without a degree. Finally, they attended George Mason University from 2011 to 2013 and earned a Master's Degree in International Commerce and Policy.
