Sergio Betancourt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sergio began their career in 2007 as a Fish Processor at Icicle Seafoods, Inc, before moving on to work as a Security Guard at F-D-S Manufacturing Company from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, Sergio worked as a Barista at Starbucks until 2013.
In 2014, Sergio interned as a 3D Artist at inXile Entertainment. Sergio then worked as a 3D Modeler at Polyfountain Media, LLC from 2015 to 2016. During the same period, they also served as a Contract Guitar Instructor at A Place Called Home and as a Classroom Assistant at Otis College of Art and Design.
In 2016, Sergio joined Volt at Treyarch as an External Art Coordinator, where they remained until 2020. Later in 2020, they became a Jr. Digital Artist at Mattel, Inc. before transitioning to Treyarch as an Associate Artist. As of March 2022, Sergio is currently working as an Artist at Treyarch.
Sergio Betancourt attended Otis College of Art and Design from 2012 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in Digital Media & Design with a focus on Video Game Design. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2009, they studied Art (Studio) at the University of California, Riverside but did not obtain a degree. During the same period, they also earned a Certificate in Graphic Design from the University of California Riverside Extension. In September 2009, Sergio obtained a Graphic Design Certificate from the University of California Riverside.
