Naomi Logsdon

Lab Manager at TriAltus Bioscience

Naomi Logsdon has a wealth of experience in the field of bioscience. Naomi began their career in 1994 as a Senior Bioscientist at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, where they identified novel potassium channel genes in a proprietary database, cloned and expressed them, and characterized them using Northern and Western blots, RT-PCR, and binding assays. Naomi also evaluated expression systems for high throughput screening. In 1999, they joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Research Associate, where they oversaw operations in the laboratory and created and maintained tissue and fibroblast sample repositories and records. Naomi also assisted instructors and assistant professors in performing experiments and with analysis, figures, grants, and papers, and oversaw the training of students. Her overall project was investigating the role of NOX4, metabolism, and mitochondrial function in lung fibroblasts. In 2019, Naomi became the Lab Manager at TriAltus Bioscience.

Naomi Logsdon attended Rice University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in a Biology and Spanish double major.
