Jose R.

Jose R. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Jose began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a U.S. Marine from 1994 to 2002. Following their military service, Jose worked at Choctaw Archiving Enterprise as a Sr. Systems Administrator and IM/IT Manager, providing network and systems support to various sites across Europe. In 2007, Jose joined Service Credit Union, initially working as a Network Manager and later becoming the AVP - Information Security. In these roles, they were responsible for managing computer system assets, network architecture, and information security compliance. In 2019, Jose joined Triangle Credit Union as the Senior Vice President Information Technology and later transitioned into the role of SVP of Data Services. In these positions, they oversaw the development of network infrastructure, system and cybersecurity environment, enterprise risk management, and vendor management programs. Jose also ensured the maintenance of the disaster recovery environment.

Jose R. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, from 2001 to 2005. Jose then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Network Architecture from Capella University, from 2007 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Jose R. has also earned various certifications throughout their career. In 2003, they obtained the CompTIA A+ Certification and also became an MCSE1: Windows 2000 and MCSA1: Windows 2000 certified by Microsoft. In 2003, they also received the CompTIA Network+ Certification. Moving forward in their career, they achieved the Certified Chief Information Security Officer certification from EC-Council in 2013. Later, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in 2016, the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in 2017, and the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA in 2018.
