Gordon Crawford is the current Performance Director at Triathlon Ireland. Prior to this, they were the Physical Performance Coach 1st Team and Academy Head of Sports Science at Motherwell Football Club from February 2015 to October 2015. Gordon was also previously with the University of Stirling and Beaconhurst School. From October 2009 to October 2011, they served as the Board Director: Performance for Triathlon Scotland where they were responsible for supporting the Board, sportscotland institute of sport, and the National Development Coaches. Prior to that, Gordon was the Head of Sport at Active Stirling from September 2003 to June 2014 where they were responsible for leading and managing sport and physical activity provision to implement the Active Stirling Strategy for Sport.
Gordon Crawford has a masters in education from the University of Stirling, a BA in recreation management from Heriot-Watt University, and certification from the Swiss Olympic in performance coaching diploma, the Bundesamt für Sport BASPO in youth sport diploma, the British Triathlon Federation in level 3, the British Olympic Association in accredited fitness and strength conditioning specialist, SportsCoach UK in advanced workshop tutor, and UK Athletics in UK athletics level performance coach and UK level 3 endurance and strength conditioning coach.
Gordon Crawford reports to Darren Coombes, Chief Executive Officer. They work with Kevin Power Kelly - Project Executive, Anna Grealish - Women in Sport and Youth Programme Lead, and Eleanor Condon - Munster Development Officer.
