Matthew Schmidt

Matthew Schmidt is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in penetration testing and security engineering. Currently serving as a Penetration Testing Manager at Triaxiom Security since September 2020, Matthew conducts a wide range of penetration tests including web applications, APIs, and IoT devices, while contributing to knowledge sharing through blogs and internal articles. Previous roles include Penetration Tester and Security Consultant at null, where Matthew performed various assessments such as social engineering and wireless penetration testing. Matthew's foundational experience includes participation in competitive Capture The Flag events as part of Towson University's Collegiate Cyber Defense Team and evaluating cybersecurity standards for the US Army as a Cybersecurity Evaluator. Matthew's military service with the United States Marine Corps included an honorable discharge as a Sergeant, maintaining a secret security clearance. Matthew holds a degree in Information Technology from Towson University.
