Michael van Elk

Michael van Elk is an experienced AI professional with a strong background in engineering and machine learning. As the Head of AI Engineering at Tribe AI, Michael led the development of internal AI capabilities and successfully built a prototype AI data-analysis agent for a client within a tight timeframe. As a Technical Co-Founder of an AI startup, Michael constructed the entire backend solution, integrating various technology stacks. Michael has also worked as a Machine Learning Consultant with Gradient Ascent, delivering projects across multiple sectors, and as a Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher at aiXplain, where contributions included enhancing TTS model workflows and developing training repositories for AI models. Michael holds a Master's degree in Science, Business & Innovation from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science from University College Utrecht.
