Fred Schmidt-Arenales

Fred Schmidt-Arenales is a seasoned professional in the arts and technical direction, currently serving as the Technical Director for Tribeca Festival since April 2022. With a robust portfolio as an artist at Fred Schmidt-Arenales Studio since June 2013, Fred has also held significant roles such as Core Fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Teaching Artist and Oral Historian at Monument Lab. Previous experience includes Technical Director for Cucalorus Film Foundation and Technical Production Coordinator for Sundance Institute. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Art from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Chicago.
