Chief Sustainability Officer at Tricon Energy

Elizabeth Carlson has extensive experience in various roles related to sustainability, social responsibility, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Tricon International, Ltd., they are responsible for overseeing sustainability initiatives within the company.

Prior to their current role, Elizabeth worked at McDermott International, Ltd, where they held multiple positions. Elizabeth served as the Global Head of Sustainability, managing sustainability efforts on a global scale. Elizabeth also worked as the Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability Manager, where they developed policies and procedures for social performance and monitored regulatory developments. Additionally, they served as the Local Content & Social Performance Manager, coordinating social responsibility efforts in engineering and construction projects.

Before joining McDermott International, Elizabeth worked at Odebrecht as the Social Responsibility and Communications Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing social responsibility and communication efforts for the construction of Latin America's largest petrochemical complex.

Elizabeth's earlier experience includes roles at Odebrecht as a Social Program Coordinator, Samaritan's Purse as a Program Development Officer, and Bank Information Center as a Europe and Central Asia Program Intern. Elizabeth also conducted research as a Principal Investigator at the University of North Carolina and volunteered as a Community Volunteer at Youth With A Mission.

Throughout their career, Elizabeth has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, stakeholder engagement, and community development. Elizabeth has extensive experience in developing policies, conducting assessments, and implementing strategies to promote sustainable practices.

Elizabeth Carlson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Russian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from 2004 to 2008. Elizabeth then pursued a Master of Philosophy degree in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2009.
