Scott Muecke has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting, starting with their role as Senior Auditor at PwC from 1997 to 2000. Scott then worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young for a year, followed by a position as Director of Risk at Atmos Energy from 2002 to 2004. Scott then joined Koch Industries as a Controller/Senior Finance Leader for a brief period before becoming a Consulting Director at Sirius Solutions in 2005. In 2006, they joined BP as a Controller, where they stayed until 2013. Scott was then appointed as the Americas Controller at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. until 2016. Scott is currently the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller at Tricon International, Ltd.
Scott Muecke's education history begins in 1991 when they attended the University of North Texas. Scott pursued a field of study in Biochemistry but did not obtain a degree from this institution. Scott then transferred to Texas A&M University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance, graduating in 1996. In 1997, Scott Muecke continued their education at Texas A&M University, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) in Accounting Information Systems.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Scott Muecke also obtained two certifications. In 2002, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. In 2003, they received a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
