Reza Gerami

Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer at Triden Group

Reza Gerami has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering.

Reza started their career at TCT in 2002, where they worked as a Network Engineer. Here, they were responsible for configuring and upgrading data equipment, routers, and switches. Reza also troubleshooted IP backhauling and worked on configuring and troubleshooting BGP and OSPF. Reza remained with TCT until 2010.

Following their time at TCT, Reza joined T.C.T as a Senior Network Engineer. In this role, they led IP cutover migration projects and managed acquisition integrations and divestitures according to network requirements. Reza also analyzed network errors and faults, collaborating with developers and the PMO. Reza worked with T.C.T until 2013.

In 2014, Reza joined AT&T as a Senior Network Support Engineer. Here, they provided support for network implementation in the core and access layer. Reza scheduled the team on work orders and software upgrades and improved network quality by analyzing network errors and faults. Reza left AT&T in 2017.

Reza then joined Washington Federal as a Senior Network Engineer. In this position, they acted as the team lead for the Recall project on Cisco 4321 series devices. Reza configured and troubleshooted BGP and EIGRP and provided tier 2 support for maintenance and troubleshooting incidents in the network. Reza remained with Washington Federal until 2018.

From 2018 to 2019, Reza worked at Microsoft as a Senior Network Engineer. Here, they served as the TCS Team Lead on the Global TOR repaves project. Reza prepared MOPs for deployments, implementations, and incidents. Reza also configured, upgraded, and deployed Cisco, Arista, and Juniper devices for new data centers.

Reza's next role was at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Network Deployment Engineer III from 2020 to 2022. In this position, they configured, deployed, and upgraded routers and switches. Reza supported the design and build of a network for AWS devices in data centers. Reza played a key role in migrating the console network globally and configured OSPF and BGP on various network components. Reza provided maintenance and troubleshooting support for all network incidents.

Currently, Reza works at Triden Group as a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, starting in 2022.

Reza Gerami completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch. Reza obtained this degree from 1994 to 1999.

In terms of additional certifications, Reza received the following certifications:

- AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud-Native from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2020.

- Python Data Structures from the University of Michigan in December 2019.

- Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from the University of Michigan in October 2019.

- Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Junos (JNCIA-Junos) from Juniper Networks in March 2021.

- Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) from Cisco in February 2020.

- Reza is also pursuing the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, although the completion date is not provided.
