Shabana Siraj MBE WBE has a wealth of experience in the IT industry, spanning over two decades. Shabana began their career in 1991 as a Management Trainee/Business Development Executive at Tata Keltron Ltd, where they managed the Distributor/Dealer network for Tata Phones in Chennai, India, and successfully launched the first TAM for Tata's through their network and also to corporates. Shabana also opened the first Tata Phone office in the city of Hyderabad. In 1993, they moved to HCL Infosystems Ltd. HCL HP as an Account Executive, where they were responsible for the sale of Vectra range of HP computers to Corporate accounts. Shabana was also responsible for the sale of the first LAN installation for HCL in the Hospitality industry in AP. That same year, they also founded and became the Managing Director of Magnatel Connectors Pvt LTD, where they were the Vendor for HCL in the city of Hyderabad, and won the best dealer award (consecutively for 2 years) for the sales of HCL computers. In 2000, they became the National Account Manager at Teledata Technology Solutions. In 2008, they joined HCL Technologies as a Sr. Account Manager in the Life Sciences Group, handling the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices clients of HCL America in the Western region. In 2009, they founded and became the CEO of Trident Consulting Inc, a Silicon Valley-based, Minority Woman-Owned IT talent management company. Finally, in 2022, they became the Bay Area President of IT Serve Alliance.
Shabana Siraj MBE WBE's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bharathiar University in Marketing and Finance, obtained between 1989 and 1991, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Ethiraj College For Women in Commerce and Economics, obtained between 1986 and 1989. Shabana also completed a Women's Leadership Program at the Yale School of Management in Organizational Leadership in 2020. Shabana Siraj MBE WBE has also obtained various certifications, including Blue Wave Graduate from Blue Wave International Supplier Development Program in 2023, WRMSDC Corporate Ready from Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council (WRMSDC), an affiliate of NMSDC in 2021, and MBEIC, TechServ Alliance, WRMSDC, and Women's Business Enterprise Counsil (WBENC) from their respective institutions.
