Kai Bernier-Chen

Kai Bernier-Chen currently serves as the Associate Director at Trident DMG since April 2024, while also working as a Communications Consultant for the Center for International Private Enterprise since January 2020. Previous roles include Senior Associate and Associate in Government Affairs at Teneo from November 2021 to April 2024, as well as an Editorial Fellow at InSight Crime in late 2021. Additional experience encompasses program support at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems, an internship focused on democracy reform at the Center for American Progress, investigative work with the Project On Government Oversight, and a position with BerlinRosen in social impact and philanthropy. Earlier career involvement includes assisting political consulting efforts at The Advance Group (TAG) and serving as Assistant Director at Grassroots Campaigns. Educational credentials comprise a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Bard College, complemented by foundational education at Hawaii Preparatory Academy and Selwyn House School.
