Jean-Michel Jacoulot

Jean-Michel Jacoulot is a seasoned executive in the energy sector with extensive experience in leadership roles. As CEO and co-founder of Trident Energy since 2016, Jacoulot has guided the company in its mission as a global E&P entity, supported by Warburg Pincus. Prior to this role, Jacoulot served as Chief Executive Officer at Perenco from 1995 to 2016, where a series of successful acquisitions and development projects doubled the Group's reserves and production. Additional positions at Perenco included Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Africa Area Manager, where responsibilities encompassed company restructuring, operational excellence, and key relationship management. Early in the career, Jacoulot held various engineering and managerial roles across Venezuela, Guatemala, and Colombia. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from IFP School and an engineering degree from INSA Lyon.
