Prior to that, at HM Forces UK, they held multiple roles including Technical Instructor/Advisor, Team Leader (Telecommunication Installations), and Intermediate/Second-line Radio Operator. In these positions, they provided technical training, delivered communications solutions, and operated radio systems.

Andy started their career in HM Forces UK as a Junior Radio Operator/1st line from December 1999 to July 2002, where they received training in HF VHF radio systems and operated them during training exercises in Europe and operationally in the Balkans.

Andy W. completed their CCNA certification in 2013 at BluescreenIT. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they attended the Royal School of Military Engineering where they earned a Combat Engineer degree. Their secondary education took place at St Cuthberts RC High School from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained their GCSE's. In addition to their formal education, Andy W. also obtained a Network+ certification from CompTIA in October 2013.
