Steve Nelson is the SVP, Closed Facilities at Trihydro Corporation. Steve has over 25 years of experience in environmental consulting and has managed a variety of projects throughout their career.
Steve started their career as a geologist for Unocal in 1982. Steve then transitioned to environmental consulting in 1987 with The RETEC Group, Inc. where they eventually became the Operations and Senior Project Manager. In 2007, they joined ENSR as a Senior Project Manager. Some notable environmental consulting projects they managed during this time include detailed characterization of the nature / extent / mobility of subsurface petroleum hydrocarbon impacts in an active industrial setting; and evaluation of environmental impacts to and relative risks associated with a large, complex portfolio of individual properties.
In their current role as Business Unit Leader at Trihydro Corporation, Steve is responsible for leading a team of environmental professionals in providing consulting services to a variety of clients.
Steve Nelson received their MS in Geology from Colorado State University and their BS in Earth Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman. Steve is certified by LinkedIn in Identify and Unleash Potential in Your Employees, Section4 in Certified Strategist, American Institute of Professional Geologists in Certified Professional Geologist, Wyoming Board of Professional Geologists in Licensed Professional Geologist, California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in Licensed Professional Geologist, Project Management Institute in PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional.
Steve Nelson reports to Kurt Tuggle, President & CEO. They work with Jeremy Sell - Business Unit Leader, Kristie Twitchell - IT Director, and Eric Worden - Business Unit Leader.
