Lorleen Farrugia, PhD, is an experienced consultant and researcher with a diverse background in psychology, child rights, and online safety. Currently serving as a consultant for Child Helpline International, Lorleen conducts qualitative research to improve child helplines' adherence to quality standards. Additional roles include Social Psychology Consultant for Family Empowerment Media, Monitoring Officer for the Consortium Contre l’Esclavage Moderne project at Trilateral Research, and Head of Research at A1Research Ltd, focusing on Online Safety and Child Protection. Lorleen also contributes as a board member for Besmartonline! and as a researcher in the EUKidsOnline network, while holding academic positions at the University of Malta, where responsibilities include lecturing and supervising dissertations.
