Carol Vinette-Hancharyk

Carol is the Vice President of Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer at Trillium Health Partners (THP) where she is accountable for all areas of THP’s financial planning, operating budget, forecasting and capital planning, cash, treasury and investment strategy management, and procurement and supply chain management. She promotes a culture that ensures funding is linked to patient care planning and supports initiatives that enhance quality and efficiency across the organization.

Carol has provided financial leadership and implementation support to a range of projects and innovative initiatives at THP, such as the award winning Putting Patients at the Heart (PPATH) Bundled Care Program securing debt financing for THP’s new integrated health information system and supporting the financial planning for the new long-term care beds accelerated build project.

She has over 25 years of senior finance leadership experience in various health care organizations. Prior to joining THP, Carol was the Director of Planning and Reporting at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto where she was responsible for working with the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), funders, and other stakeholders on operational planning, capital planning and reporting, leading external audits, and providing support to the Board Committees and the Board. Carol has also held various senior leadership roles in the children’s community health care sector and complex community care health services organizations.

She is the Treasurer and Secretary of Shared Services West, a health care shared services organization with expertise in broader public sector procurement and compliance, supply chain management and process optimization and serves on the Trillium Health Partners Foundation Finance and Audit Committee.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honours) from Laurentian University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant.
