Simone is the Vice President of the Institute of Better Health (IBH) at Trillium Health Partners (THP) where she is responsible for driving research, innovation, and generating transformative health care solutions to provide accessible, high-quality care at THP now and in the future. In this role, Simone works with the IBH administrative teams to support the Institute’s scientific endeavours and is responsible for advancing THP's innovation strategy and partnership projects.
Simone has held several progressive leadership roles at THP in Strategy Development and Corporate Planning, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, and Project Management. Through her leadership and expertise in utilizing new and innovative processes and technologies, Simone is passionate about shaping a healthier tomorrow for the community, region and beyond.
Over the past 15 years, Simone has focused on connecting her skills in strategy, project management, and policy change to drive health system transformation. Prior to joining THP, Simone worked in health care consulting leading projects focused on health system redesign to reduce wait times and the deployment of provincial health information systems in Canada, the US and Europe. Simone has consistently demonstrated that her work is highly results-oriented and deeply grounded in a knowledge of governance, project and program management best practices.
Simone holds a Bachelor of Science and Business from the University of Waterloo’s Co-op Program and a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is also a collaborator at the IBH, supporting research and innovation in her areas of subject matter expertise and have been published in several international journals on the topic of public private partnerships in health care.
