Jacki McPherson

Jacki McPherson has extensive experience in education and entrepreneurship. Currently serving at Trillium Lakelands District School Board since April 2007, Jacki holds titles including GHS Cooperative Education Teacher and Head of the Languages Department, where involvement as staff advisor of the Heroes in the Hallway social justice and community-building club is notable. As an Experiential Education Consultant and LCVI Teacher, Jacki also leads the educational venture Away We Go Trips since January 2021, transforming an idea into an adventurous business. Jacki's educational credentials include a Master of Education in Curriculum, Teaching & Learning from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Education in English and Geography from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Double Major in English and Geography from Western University. Previous roles include Office Associate at Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation and Summer Company Program Manager for the City of Kawartha Lakes.
