Tony S. Giardini

Tony S. Giardini is the current Director at Trilogy Metals. Prior to this, they were the President at Ivanhoe Mines from January 2019 to December 2020. Tony has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Capstone Mining from January 2012 to December 2012 and Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer at Kinross Gold Corporation from January 2012 to December 2019.

Tony has extensive experience in the mining industry, with a deep involvement in the overall management of their previous companies. Tony is responsible for the leadership of all financial aspects of running a publically listed mining company, including executing the finance strategy and providing financial leadership to ensure the company maintains an appropriate capital structure to support its annual operating plans and strategic plans.

Tony has also cultivated and maintained strong relationships with external stakeholders, maximizing their previous companies' ability to carry out their vision, raise capital, and obtain financing. Tony regularly communicates with shareholders and debt holders about the company's performance, including presenting and or conducting one-on-one meetings with investors and debt holders at conferences and participating in quarterly calls with analysts.

Tony S. Giardini has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce, General from The University of British Columbia. Tony is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Illinois and as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Tony also has a Chartered Business Valutor certification.
