Alex Yang is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment banking. Beginning a career as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from 2005 to 2007, Alex then joined Morgan Stanley as an Associate from 2007 to 2008. Following this, a transition to Olympus Capital occurred, serving as a Senior Associate from 2008 to 2010, before becoming a Principal at TPG Capital from 2010 to 2016. Alex then held the role of Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Group from 2016 to 2021, and currently serves as Managing Partner, Head of Greater China and Southeast Asia - Private Equity at Brookfield Asset Management since 2021. In addition, Alex has been the Chairman and Board Member at Trimco Group since December 2022. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Chicago, an LLB from Peking University, and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
