Shoji Fuchigami

Shoji Fuchigami, PhD, serves as the Founder, Representative Director, and CEO of Re:Power Inc. since February 2023 and holds the position of Senior Director at Trina Solar, specializing in photovoltaic systems and sustainable energy solutions. Fuchigami has extensive experience in leadership roles, including Board Director positions at Freund-VECTOR Corporation and Freund-Turbo Corporation, and roles as Vice President at Freund Corporation, focusing on new business development in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Additionally, Fuchigami is the Representative Director and CEO of Mediglobe Corporation, a company initiated from Mediken Inc. after serving as CTO. Previous experience includes serving as Representative Director and CEO of Advanet Inc., a developer of industrial PC boards and cloud services, as well as General Manager at SONY Corporation, where developments in consumer electronics were emphasized. Fuchigami’s earlier career includes significant engineering contributions at companies such as Headway Technologies and Kyushu Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. Fuchigami holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Materials Science from Kyushu University.
