Orla Sheils

Orla Sheils holds extensive experience in academia, currently serving as Vice Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Trinity College Dublin since 2007. In addition to this role, Orla Sheils is the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Director of the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute, and is a Professor in Molecular Pathology, as well as Director of Medical Ethics. Prior to these roles, Orla Sheils was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dublin, Trinity College from 2003 to 2007. Orla Sheils completed an MA in Medical Law & Ethics at King's College London and holds both a PhD and a Doctor of Science degree in Molecular Pathology from Trinity College Dublin.
