Simon Gynn is a dedicated scientific researcher at Trinity College Dublin since August 2022, with a background in Energy Science. Gynn's expertise includes overseeing the sourcing and testing of porous media using engineered cryogenic pressurised systems, along with presenting findings to industry stakeholders. Additionally, Gynn has experience as an exam invigilator for the Energy Science Master’s programme and as a dental physics tutor, supporting undergraduate students in understanding physics applications in dentistry. As a self-managed musical artist since March 2001, Simon Gynn has performed in renowned venues across Ireland and internationally, specializing in sound production, recording, and songwriting. Gynn also held a role as a senior postgraduate demonstrator at University College Dublin, teaching physics lab experiments to undergraduate STEM students. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with Astronomy & Space Science from University College Dublin, complemented by a Higher Diploma in Sound Engineering & Music Technology from the Academy of Sound.
